Abstract

Hospital waste management is an important part of the healthcare system, that have a direct effect on public health, environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies offers transformative opportunities to optimize waste management processes. In this review highlight the applications, challenges and potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning in hospital waste management, highlighting their role in waste classification, predictive analytics and sustainable disposal practices. It also checks the limitations and future research directions required to fully utilize these technologies.
